Hi listers: I pretty much think like the rest of you, but, I am curious if you have heard if anyone at CSUN directly asked the folks at the VFO booth about Window-Eyes' future. I know the next release of Fusion incorporates JAWS; that is clear enough. But, I have not heard a word on the few podcasts I listened to. I bet all this is making Doug sick. capslock insert problem
Hello all I wonder if anyone can help me, evrytime I press the capslock key twice to use it as an insert function, I noticed that isn't working. Great. Remember that many of the browse mode functions for navigation work with Chrome. Isn't it strange of Microsoft that their browsers are falling behind in accessibility compatibility, and that they've deliberately shut screen readers out of Edge. Pam, This reminds me of a strange occurrence I forgot about. For some reason when I'm in IE and I take a break, whether it's for an hour or just to go get a cup of coffee, sometimes when I come back nothing will read on the page. But I haven't lost speech, just browse mode. So nothing speaks if I arrow around. And Control-Shift-A does nothing. But if I press Alt-D to go to the address bar that speaks. then I press F6 to jump back to the page and I land right where I was and everything works fine. Chrome isn't using a ribbon, it is using a vertical menu. If you want to read some of the keyboard shortcuts, I suggest you open the Window-Eyes key label dictionary Chrome.key in Notepad. Hi Vaughan, Cheers for the heads up on Google Chrome. I installed it earlier this morning, and once I found where to import my favourites from IE, I've been picking sites at random, searching, browsing, and waiting for the dreaded crash, that happily never arrived. It takes a bit of getting used to, but like anything new, in a day or so I probably won't even notice, except for trying to use the IE key combinations that have been ingrained over so many years.
