Re: sounds for loading and unloading Jaws

2017-05-31 Thread Raul A. Gallegos via Talk
Hi, I have sounds assigned when programs close and open. However, I
think what you might be referring to is when I closed Jaws, the standard
dialog asking if I am sure came up and there is a sound for that. Those
types of sounds are setup from the sounds schemes part of the control
panel. So, this is not Jaws specific.

About the only way I can think of to have a sound specific to loading
and unloading Jaws is if you use a third-party program like Auto Hotkey
or something similar. However, that's sort out of the scope of what my
tutorials offer. *smile*.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I think for the customers I'm talking to, it's not so much learning
keystrokes, it's that they want it to "sound" more like Window-Eyes. Those
tutorial messages in JAWS can be a bit annoying for example, if you are used
to Window-Eyes more terse way of talking.

I'm just surmising here.

Hi there!

I made the switch from W.E. to jaws about a week or so ago, and for the most
part have had little or no issues at all with the switch over.
Yes, I did have to learn and memorize a few new key combinations, but
memorizing is extremely easy for me. Not certain of exactly what it
is that folks have to learn that is more than memorizing some new
keystrokes..? Good Luck & Have A Good 1! de .
