if no other programs have been installed there would only be one icon, the
recycle bin.
windows 10 puts most programs in the start menu in the apps list. including
window eyes. if you want desktop icons you have to create them manually.

The only reason Jaws over took Window eyes is because it was pushes by all the
rehabs across the country, and a lot of people were either not offered WE and
an option or were refused it. Too much politics involved there with FS and the

I installed the free jaws that they gave us window eyes users, and also the
tutorial. I set it up the way I wanted it, making it work as best as I
could. I didn't use it all the time. I used it when I needed it to do
something window eyes couldn't. I hadn't used it for a few months. I
