I would like everyone to know that so far today, I have received 3 emails
preportedly from members of this list, saying that my confirmation is
needed
to join the list. I want to let everybody know, so that if you also get

I don't believe this is actually identity theft, just a
simple mistake being made at the server end of the email list. but you
are right, ignoring the messages is probably the best thing to do.
