All done now, after reviewing further I did issue a 0-day "need to login"
block because everything looks fabricated.

I agree, I'll go through and revert and send a note as a first step.

Hi all
Found either some bad jokes or (I'm afraid) more likely vandalism, all done
by one apparent new mapper, just on a month ago.
User is https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Jelena%20Jaredic
Their work, all done on the same day:
That is so frustrating, i spent a bit of time a few months back smoothing
out a lot of the issues there, making curves a sensible radius, etc.
Like you, i'm not sure how to go about reverting.
I did notice user nadeem41 has made a mess of the cross city tunnel as
well, i'm wondering if it's

Hello Aussie mappers
By chance I found the following problem: It seems that there happened some vandalism (or someone who did some very unhappy changes) in Sydney. Long parts of Sussex Street disappeared, as well as the Cross City Tunnel. Maybe there is someone who has better knowledge than me
Noticed this morning that user
99scilla111http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/99scilla111
has vandalised a large number of roads/buildings/etc since 12 August. It
really annoys me when somebody goes out of their way to detroy the good work
of other people.
I've tried contacting them to no avail.

Hi Pete,
Unfortunately because you have modified some of these it's not possible
to revert the changesets.
Have a look here:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Vandalism
so the next step is to report it to the data working group to have a
block placed on this user.
Explain that you have

Someone had placed a POI in north western Tasmania for the Hampshire
district, but with k=place,v=country, so it was showing up as a
country label. I changed it to a hamlet for now.
