Hi Chris,
Use the QGIS software, they have a way to break up shapefiles (goejson is a
shapefiles) based on an attribute.
Else you can always open the file in a text editor (get notepad++ or vscode
or sublimetext or so for advanced text editor) and break it up manually.

Tendency in Toerisme Vlaanderen > ALL hiking nodes will go virtual within
10 years or so. (At least, that is their vision) So if you do not follow
this tendency, you make OSM irrelevant for routes. I'd make a thorough

Why would the polygons, which appear to be simply algorithmically
public_transport=platform and highway=bus_stop are different schemas.
Please don't confuse the two.
When mapping using the much more prevalent highway=bus_stop there is no
requirement for bus=* as it's obviously explicit.
