My general rule of thumb for highway tagging in rural Kansas is as follows. If I know nothing else about the road I start off with US highway = primary, Kansas highway = secondary and county roads = tertiary. Then adjust as needed. For example. K-10 between Lawrence and Olathe [1] is controlled

I'll agree that the consensus is that they do not belong in OSM. And that in some cases one might violate some copyrights. They can go in e.g. wikiloc or GPSies if the authors want. Problem is that when you delete them you might get into an edit war. In that case you have to contact the Data

街歩きをしているとしばしば 古い庚申塔や道標をみつけたり、橋の碑文に完成日が書いていますが、殆どの場合は年号による表記が使われています。 西暦に改暦された明治６年以降については簡単に和暦→西暦変換ができますが、改暦以前については太陰暦が用いられたことから西暦変換がむずかしいです。 せっかく建立日（年）が読み取れても西暦変換調査が難しくて'start_date'への入力を敬遠してしまうということが（私の場合は）しばしば起こります。 日付を和暦でも入力できるように *key=start_date:ja* を提案したいと思います。 Wikiの「議論」ページにまとめました。

Sorry to start another thread on this but I just had an exchange with another mapper here in Kansas that could use some more opinions. I recently reclassified US 24 west of Manhattan, KS from trunk down to primary. NE2 had bumped it up to trunk a long time ago and I never felt that this was right

Juste pour pousser la réflexion jusqu’à ses derniers retranchements : importance= essaye actuellement de représenter le rayonnement (est-ce que l’eglise est d’importance locale, nationale, internationale). Adapté ça au ferroviaire, une ligne de RER serait tout en bas de l’échelle car ça intéresse

いいだです。 そういえば、暦法毎に記述を変えたい、という要望は、Tagging MLでもみた記憶がないですね。。。 僕もmuramotoさんの意見に+1で、 やりだすと、皇紀に対応するには、とかいろいろ出てきそうで、 単純にja、とすると、イスラム暦など、言語と文化がイコールにならない場合にどうするのかというのも気になってしまいます。 もしやるとするなら、暦法毎に記法を考えるか、 あるいはjd ユリウス暦の記法のところで示されているように、 jaなどを「値に対して」入れるほうがよいのかと思います。 例えば、以下の様なかんじです。 start_date = jd:2455511
