When importing the data do we favour yahoo existing data in OSM (which
is obviously traced from satellite imagery) or CanVec? I'm assuming
CanVec for parks would be based on official park boundaries rather than
yahoo, line of site on open spaces. So parks would be better coming
from CanVec.
Around Vancouver I have found CanVec buildings to be quite inaccurate, so i
would use Yahoo there. Best to do some mapping on the ground though with
your GPS so you can be sure that Yahoo is properly rectified because I know
quite a few areas in my neighborhood where yahoo imagery is off by like

There is also the Spot5 imagery :)
and the CanTopo geoTIFFs to compare.
for those parks that i origionally converted, you need to compare with
CanTopo as that is more accurate.
and as Russel and Tyler Just mentioned. It's really a combo of both. and
check the local GPS tracks
