Hi all,
A quick update: Thanks for all your venue suggestions for the next OSM UK
annual general meeting. It's taken a while to go through the options and
find a date that works for venue and us. Subject to any last hitches we
have now settled on a venue in central London on Saturday 29 June. Jez
Hi Phil,
We are very close to confirming a venue and date.
The date will be pushed out into later June as we have to give 45 days
notice for an AGM, and to give people a chance to arrange transport, etc.
Regards,
Jez

Not sure that this got noticed,
The London Hackspace can provide a classroom for 30+ people for just a
donation to their coffers.
It is in Wembley so not quite central but not the ends of the earth.

Hey Gregory, do you have a date for visiting Geovation? I'm at the GIS
South East User Group meeting (as you may be?) next Wednesday which is in
Sutton Yard, which I assume means is in the Geovation offices.

I certainly like the idea of a London meeting, it is relatively easy to get to
from most places and looking at rail prices my concern about 8th was probably
unfounded.

I (somewhat in the capacity as an OSM UK director) have been invited to
visit Geovation, and I don't think there is much of a hatchet left to bury.
I could ask our contacts if an event at Geovation would be suitable and
possible.
For the Queen's birthday I don't think there would be a lot of
It could make reasonably priced trains hard to come by.

Saturday 8 June is the Queens Birthday - Trooping the Colour occurs.
Don't know London well enough to know if this could be disruptive.

I don't think Geovation are at 1 Seckford Street anymore (Future Cities
Catapult have taken over IIRC), which is a shame as Seckford Street is a
really nice venue. It' still available for events, but I suspect with
substantial costs. I don't think Geovation have moved very far away.

If interested I am a member and could host and facilitate the event.
My next-door neighbour works at Google - I could ask him for a contact

Hi all,
For the next OSM UK annual general meeting we thought we would try London
as a possible location. Does anyone know of good (and cheap) venues that we
can use? We have 100 members but would expect the number to actually attend
