Let me know if you ever manage to get anywhere with the columns. You can
change their position all day long in the view settings, but Thunderbird
always passes the same damned info to the screen reader regardless.

Jaws, in it's infinite wizdom, was, ya know, just trying to do it's job,
but there is no dialogue/voice to switch to for "X-Western", so it
wouldn't switch to it. I've made that go away; I don't need language
detection anyway.

Since we don't know specifically what you're using, it's hard to say.
I've messed with it and that's what I got as well.
