Re: The Talk2 List no "things and stuff" this week

2008-09-13 Thread Arthur Pirika
Well, since this relates, I thought I'd add my own promotion of my show to
this thread rather than make a new one. In place of things and stuff this
week, stay around for an early edition of the early morning, late night, not
quite breakfast show. We'll dive more in to synths, and probbably work on
tracks live on air, so stick about for the fun!

It's extremely stable for what it is.
Yeah, I think linux should run seamlessly on it.

The dumb thing about the Dell is, it's ncredibly slow and fake-hangs a
lot, but it's stable.
When all this is over, it will probably make a good linux box for running
the phone system.

I technically owe him for taking the DELL.
At least he didn't use the original hard drive.

There will be no "Things and Stuff" this week. Unfortunately, the
motherboard for the new studio computer did not show up as soon as we
hoped it would, and, to be quite honest, I'm not feeling up to doing
another show with the old Dell, and trying to get any production work
done on that thing is even more painful. Talk about a clunker!

However, the new motherboard for the potentially nice new quad core
system should be in early this week, and, if there are no other issues
that pop up unexpectedly, I may do a make-up show sometime during the
week. Besides, I've never done a "Things and Stuff" on any days other
than Saturday or Sunday, so it may or may not be interesting. Stay
tuned for more info as it becomes available. As always, we are sorry
for the inconvenience. HHG reference completely unintentional.
