Having gone to both blind and public school I would chose public school any times. Sure both got it's advantages and disadvantages. Blind school probablly make it easier for blind people for learning independent skills and things that are more relevant to blind people only, but academicly you'll definitely succeed better at a public school. Also socialy you'll do better in a public school, unless your aim in life si to only always hang out with blind people in whcih case imo you're just a sad loser. Also schools for blind most of the time seem to give you this faulce sense of reality, that everything will be OK, that life after school will be easy, that world owes you things, that you'll haveeverything handed on the plate for you because you're blind, that everyone'll love you because you're blind, that everyone will respect you and be nice to you because you're blind. Real world doesn't work like that. Don't get me wrong, there are people who only went to aschools for the blind and turned to be great people, but if I had a choice and if I ever have a kid I'll do my best to make sure that it goes to a public school for reason stated above.
