Hello All,
Well I have been only using TB for less than 24 hours and it is
driving me mad. This is after a break of about a 5 months.
It is nice (or not) to see how something have not changed.

Hello,
I have installed 4.0.14, then updated thebat.exe to 4.0.14.9 and started
program under Vista.
Still nothing has changed, program displays warning about not possible to
associate files and protocols and when I open Preferences and hit
Advanced, The Bat! is not listed in Set your defaults
of 4.0.14.2. The
latest MSI version I have is 4.0.14 and I would assume that only an
MSI version can update Add or Remove Programs.
Sorry, typo 4.0.14 but I am sure about that it is the only one ;-)

I decided to have a look in Add or Remove Programs and discovered that I have
an entry for 3.99.29 and 4.0.14 there. Oddly for a program that is used many

used *rarely*.
So, my question is what to I do about

I agree. I just copied 4.0.14.2 (an exe file) over the top of
3.99.29. I still have 3.99.29 (only) listed in Programs and Features
(the Vista equivalent of Add/Remove Programs).

Hi Maxim,
installed fine from MSI but when I minimize TB into the task bar it jumps
to over 30% CPU in task manager and I'm not able to restore the program
window. Closing TB with right click in the task bar works.
I downgraded to 4.0.12.2.
