So I started playing with the customizer a little. The feature,
although being a nice base, needs further improvements.
-the technical names, like MEdit_sbPop, should have
human-understandable aliases added
-there should be a way of easier finding commands in the all
actions

Right-clicking on misspelled word suddenly started causing an access
violation error at address 00ACADAB. It lasted for some time, I don't
know what caused it, but I'd been testing the customizer before. After
restart it is gone and things are working OK again.

I've only had the ALPHA running for 12 hours as I was away but decided
to check the close down speed just now and it was almost instantaneous.
Has RIT really cracked it at last? Oh I do hope so but it's looking
promising.
As others have reported I find that it also opens much quicker now.
