Filtering seems much less stable in this version. Filters that move
messages to another folder leave some, but not all, messages in the Inbox.
Refilter does move them properly.

Data removal while uninstalling (Pyrric Victory)

2011-07-30 Thread RS (FEDARA)
Hi,

Checked data removal in following cases:
- 5.0.20.1 installed with standard settings
Program Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\The Bat!\
Data Folder: %APPDATA%\The Bat!

All data were removed properly.

- 5.0.20.1 installed over 4.2.22 ;
Program Folder: C:\WINAPPS\INTERNET\TB4\
Data Folder: D:\TB4\DB\

Program was removed.
Most of data was left in data folder.

- 5.0.20.1 clean installation
Program Folder: C:\WINAPPS\INTERNET\TB4\
Data Folder: D:\TB4\DB\

Program was removed.
Most of data was left in data folder.

- 5.0.22.1
Wanted to test it as well as a clean install but probably due to the
reason it's ALPHA there is no TB! in uninstall programs after it was
clean installed and DB was imported.

After I run it over 5.0.20.1 program in uninstall part was marked
5.0.20.1 and anyway uninstall with non standard folder DB failed as
well.

Data removal while uninstalling

2011-07-30 Thread RS (FEDARA)
Hi,

Does 5.0.20.1 was removing e-mails when TB! was uninstalled?
https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=8526

In the report there is written that 5.0.22.1 has that issue fixed.
If I'm correct it's Alpha version.

If you run it over 5.0.20.1 and after that when you want to uninstall
TB! (with data removal) which version you uninstall?
5.0.20.1 or 5.0.22.1?

Latest MSI release I see is 5.0.20.1 - or am I mistaken?

This is intentional, we are reluctant do delete data from non-standard
locations since this data may be shared with other programs. We had
bad experienced before when The Bat! have deleted more data then
needed. So if in question, we would better delete less data than more.
If the user have configured The Bat! to use a custom folder, then the

and about registry entries, are You able to allow removing them via

If user installs OTFE and needs to change it, uninstall and new install is
not possible without manual registry editing :-(

Random slowdowns and even hangs several seconds in the program. Sometimes

Anyone else experiencing this?
