Yes, I can confirm what you describe. But there is a kind of
'workaround': Ctrl+click

I wanted to search with certain criteria in a folder which has several
subfolders. In the Search window, under Option / Look in I clicked on
that folder, and all subfolders where automatically selected. I had to
deselect all 22 of them manually. The same happened regardsless of
