Re: 5.3.8.5 - IMAP incoming filtering still broken
I highly doubt this is a database corruption issue - simply because I experienced it from day 1 of a new install on a new machine - having not used TB! for about 5 years. Its also intermittent, i.e. some a few messages filter correctly from this group into my folder - other days (like today) None of them filtered, so I had to hit re-filter on the inbox - and Lo - everything moved as expected. TB! has what software developers call a bad smell about in - with random failures and recurrent problems on issues which should have been resolved years ago, I strongly suspect it could do with a complete re-write! --- Thx Graham Message reply created with The Bat! 5.3.8.5 (BETA) under Windows 7 6.1 Build 7601 Service Pack 1- Current beta is 5.3.8.5 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Extremely slow filtering
Hi I noticed that TB! takes a HUGE amount of time to filter new - incoming - messages into the required folders. OK - I have 8k messages in my GMAIL IMAP inbox - but the 16 new TBBETA messages took 6 minutes to filter into their own subfolder. This is hugely slow. Now, as I have just verified, if I just type Ctrl+Space following (after) a space or at the beginning of a line, I DO get the same Acces Violation as you do Yes - you have it right. View settings and Message creation View inconsistent
Hello Tbbeta, Mine is a new install. I DON'T have Tags selected to be visible in the message creation window, but they are visible anyway - so this is an initialisation bug. I think the TAGS field is being confused with the Comments field during initialisation, as there is some interaction between these in the create message window. Wandering user returns..
Hello Tbbeta, Honey I'm home... OK - so I've been wandering in the none-TB wilderness for some time, but I'm back now as a fully paid up user of TB v5.3.2 (I left at v4.0.11 or something - highest version my 3.x license would run). I've installed from scratch and I have some feedback - Inbox analyser - nice new cool tool. Why aren't the columns resizable - they look like they should be? (also the same in 5.2.2) - Creating a new account didn't seem to recognize @gmail.com and setup the defaults for me. I had to got an rummage around finding default port numbers and TLS settings? - Importing of my Outlook 2010 mailboxes put all my accounts under a single gmail account - like a collection of folders? It didn't create the separate accounts I wanted, so I had to throw all that away and start again (by hand) - Google contacts import. Nice - but why only 174 of 500+ contacts imported? Why not all of them? What was the logic for exclusion (I see none) - No Google contact synchronisation? Just a straight import? (probably a good idea if its failing to sync them all) - Tracking of addresse (Address tab).. Can't seem to se ehow this works (that's the newbie in me) So - Hi again... looks like TB! is moving forwards slowly. BTW - do you guys all still hate HTML mail?
