Hello Curtis, Sunday, October 16, 2005, 6:25:31 PM, among other things, you wrote: C How does the HTML mail support not work for you and how would you like C to see it work? There is a problem with copying and pasting from Excel versions 2000 and higher. It will not work if there are spaces in the text. I found that it would work if the space was entered with the keys (using the numeric keyboard) 'ALT + 0160' and I put a button in my Excel toolbar to call a macro which replaced ordinary spaces with ALT+0160. However, I received a message yesterday from Ritlabs to say the problem has been fixed; presumably it will be in the next beta. -- Best regards, Roger Current beta is 3.61.12 (Echo) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hello 9Val, V If yes, you know, that if you e.g. implement Unicode, that means V that instead of one char, you use two chars for a displayed V character. So, you THOROUGHLY go over the code and made the V appropriate changes. Precise work is required. That's all, nothing V special. And it needs using of new foreign controls which can have a slightly different behaviour (do you remember problems with checkboxes which took 'Enter' from 'OK' button?) And it needs conversions from different charsets in all parts of program. And it needs changes in templates. And it needs writing of new controls which initial support of Unicode Exactly. Thoroughly go over the code, and precise work. Sorry, I did not want to simplify it down to a 1char/2char problem, I wanted to enlight that very thorough work required. -- Vili The Bat 3.61.07 Echo (Beta) on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Szervizcsomag 1 Current beta is 3.61.12 (Echo) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hello Alexander, Perhaps I missed some crucial message about what they are now trying to do in general, but as it is, I have no idea what they are trying to achieve in this beta series. All they seem to be doing is creating numerous bugs in things which used to work, without much compensating improvement in the programme. I think most of the current bugs in functions that used to work comes from the implementation of unicode support - I understand that this is a big task... :))) I dont know, if you used to write software or not, Alexander. If yes, you know, that if you e.g. implement Unicode, that means that instead of one char, you use two chars for a displayed character. So, you THOROUGHLY go over the code and made the appropriate changes. Precise work is required. That's all, nothing special. I wanted to write a mail, but your mail came first. Maybe you have noted, I did not write too much in the last weeks. I am tired... Tired of new bugs, that should have been caught by the developers... I dont see any new improvement :( See the last two betas: fixes that should have taken 3 hours total for a developer, mainly cosmetic fixes (e.g. + default theme was available only...) And no communication from Ritlabs... I am losing faith... rapidly :(( -- Vili The Bat 3.61.07 Echo (Beta) on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Szervizcsomag 1 Current beta is 3.61.12 (Echo) | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Hello aam, Sunday, October 16, 2005, 10:43:16 AM, you wrote: I've given up hope as to there being a meaningful way of communicating between Ritlabs and their customers. Perhaps a few privileged members of TB mailing lists can communicate with Ritlabs, but not ordinary users. Maybe a root question is, where are we going with this beta round? My personal issue is about core memory problems. Something is still not quite right about the memory usage in the application. Reported on bug track yet not resolved. Hopefully, work is still ongoing to make the program stable.
