The entries Document Background, Numbered List, and Bullet List are not

Yes, but I didn't have access violations when changing the font. Over here, the
editor often changes the font type by itself in the next line while composing a
message. It has its own mind and opinion about fonts, it seems.

And when receiving the message back (I always BCC to myself), all looks
different again. I don't know how the intended recipient sees it, as I don't
know whether it's the rendering upon receipt, or the composing that's the
problem.

Title: Re: 9.3.3.6 New HTML editor

Dear Stefan,

I am reverting to 9.3.3 now. The most annoying bugs are:

1.) Jumping cursor
2.) Not able to attach file with drag & drop (most of the time)
3.) Access violations

All the other bugs must also be fixed before a release, but these three are so annoying that I cannot use the new HTML editor any longer without jeopardising my mental health. Thanks for your kind understanding, and looking forward to the next Alpha/Beta.

9.3.3.6 Strange behavior choosing fonts in HTML reply, exceptions after font change

2021-04-20 Thread Viktor Kabelac
Hello to all,

after not doing a few of the last betas, I'm back in the game with this version.

Unfortunately the message editor seems to be giving me a hard time.
First - when replying to some/one particular message, seems to insist on
choosing Times New Roman 12 as the initial font. Then, when I set 11 Calibri,
it immediately reverts the size to 11,3 and starts giving me exceptions.
I'd have loved to attach an exception like that - unfortunately TheBat! seems
to have stopped logging them for me and moreover, stopped giving me that
exception right in the moment I ewanted to document it /Germans have a name for
this ;) /.

This doesn't seem to happen with new messages or replies to other messages I
tested.

Has anyone had similar effects?

Re: 9.3.3.6 - Format Menu entries not linked to new HTML editor

2021-04-18 Thread mse
Hello Stefan,

STvT> Version 9.3.3.6 is available

I came upon some issues with Format-menu in new HTML-editor. Possibly, some
entries are not yet linked to the new editor and therefore are not or are
falsely working. Below are some examples.
Perform the following actions via Format-menu, not via toolbar or short cut.

* Alignment-options do not have an effect on marked text.
* When formatting marked text as bold, italic, underline or strikeout, the
state of the corresponding icon in the toolbar is not updated. You need to
click into the marked text again to update the toolbar icon.
* When marked text is formatted as bold (for example) via Format menu and
afterwards the bold format is removed via toolbar, the corresponding menu entry
in format menu still shows active bold formatting.
* The entries Increase font and decrease font have no effect on marked text.
* The entries Superscript and Subscript work as expected, but they should also
have an icon ion the toolbar.
* The entries Text Color and Background color format marked text in a different
color than specified.

There might be more issues here, but I have not checked all of the menu entries.

Best regards,

Re: 9.3.3.6 - in new HTML ed. font size indicator changes with text style

2021-04-17 Thread mse
Hello Stefan,

STvT> Version 9.3.3.6 is available

in the new HTML editor, the font size indicator changes the value when a string
in mail text is formatted as bold, italic, underline or strikeout.

My default font size is 10, Calibri
Mark some text, its size should be 10
make it bold: The size indicator changes to 6,5.

Example 2:
Mark some text, set its size to 18.
make it bold (or italic or underline): The size indicator changes to 12. The
size of the text in the mail does not change significantly. Definitely not from
18 to 12.

The mail source code contains the correct size of the text.

Re: 9.3.3.6 - SETEDITOR="x" in quick templates with new HTML Editor should be adjusted

2021-04-17 Thread mse
Hello Stefan,

I observed the behaviour with SETEDITOR="x"-macro in quick templates.
(Default editor in preferences is set to MicroEd, the %-signs were left out for
this mail on purpose.)

The macros SETEDITOR="1" and SETEDITOR="4" both call Plain Text (MicroEd).
The macro SETEDITOR="2" calls the new HTML-Editor, however the status bar shows
the string "Generic". The resulting mail has a HTML and text part.
The macro SETEDITOR="3" calls the new HTML-Editor, however the status bar shows
the string "Generic". The resulting mail has a HTML part only

For x=2 HTML only should be called, for x=3 HTML + Plain Text in accordance
with the numbering in the short cuts (Ctrl + 1,2,3). At the moment it is the
other way round.

Best regards,
 mse

True. There was a time when The Bat was the only client that handled

immediately above the relply. As it is, the reader has no visual clue

Additional bugs: (Remark:) The cursor just jumped around when I clicked on the

- If you put your cursor in the middle of a line and use to delete
all letters in front of the cursor, it will not stop. Once the letters in front
of the cursor are gone, it will continue deleting the letters on the cursor and
behave as if you hold the button instead.
