This last problem still persists in 9.3.4.15, and it is reason for me to go
back to the last release version.

Re: 9.3.4.2 - HTML cursor jumping

2021-06-03 Thread Thomas Fernandez
Hello  Stefan,

1.
I am top-posting because I spoke too  fast: I deleted some text from the quoted
block, and now I cannot put the cursor under block any more, it does jump into
the sig.

2. The reason why I sent this reply is that the cursor jumping as desribed
below is still persisting.

Cursor jumping + no WYSIWYG = return to version with the old HTML editor.

1.) Apart form the fact that the font and size suddenly change in the editor,
all look different again when I receive the mail back (I BCC to myself).

2.) I can move the cursor under the text. However, deleting quoted text blocks
is a hit-and-miss. Often I have to delete each character because I cannot get
in from of this vertical green line to delete the whole block.

This bug appears to be fixed over here. When I moved the cursor to the
beginning of a word and start typing, it does not jump to the end any more.

Even though I have reverted back to 9.3.4, the error now pops up every time I put a message into the Outbox. Regardless of the character set chosen or whether it is a plaintext or HTML message:

That's quite annoying. What do you need me to send in order to check what the reason might be?

This error still pops up every (!) time I put a message into the Outbox, plain-text or HTML. I downloaded the current Alpha 9.3.4 "full" version.

Since nobody else seems to experience it, I want to uninstall and reinstall TheBat. I don't want to lose my mails, and a .tbk would be about 100GB - I don't have that extra space. If I uninstall and reinstall, will the message bases be deleted, or will the new install find the existing message files easily?

How about the settings for my well over 100 folders? My idea is to make a .tbk without the messages, just the settings. If I take the tick-mark off "[ ] Folders with Messages", the message bases won't be backed up, but how about the folder tree and the settings (including templates)?

After I sent this, I found the reason for the problem: The spell checker. It was set to "no language" because I never used it in the past.

I set it to English for a message in German, and of course it complained. When I clicked on "Ignore all" it continued to check...

If have now turned Spell Checker off in this Editor window, and the problems seems to have disappeared.

I have no idea how the speel checker got turn on, but these things happen. Sorry to have wasted everybody's time.

Dear TBBETA,
The error message about the languages now appears every time I want to put a message iton Outbox. Language sometimes is set to Latin 9, UTF-8, or it says "none" when I reply to an plaintext message.I'll revert to the previous release now until these bugs are fixed. Note: Still cannot click at the bottom to bottom-post, cursor still jumps into the sig. Cheers, Thomas. On Sun, 2 May 2021 10:51:35 +0700 GMT (02-May-21, 10:51 +0700 GMT),

Yup, similar problem at 225% – the bottom toolbar isn't visible at all. This
problem didn't appear in the previous version.

Something is up with the spell checker.

Hunspell is not installed or working.
SSCE is checking some words and not others

Can you double check.
