Thanks, I might give that a try if any of this gets in any
way consistent...

I habitually check a few specific folders each morning and
yesterday ALL of those were mis-sorted and focused on an
unexpected message. Today, all were exactly as expected.

I'm starting to suspect that viewing /some other folder/ is
somehow messing up the next (or previous?) folder viewed.
This is starting to seem more likely than several folders
developing the same kind of random strangeness, IMHO.

Folder view state/settings

2008-10-08 Thread Steven P Vallière

I've been noticing that TB is no longer remembering things
like the last message viewed in a folder and a folder's sort
column. I'm not sure how many versions back this started,
because I thought it was my mistake. However, for the past
week or so, I've been very careful to leave folders while
looking at the newest message, sorted by the 'Received' column.
When I return to a folder, it might be sorted on a different
column and/or looking at a different message.

Admittedly, this is a minor inconvenience, but it can be
disconcerting when things aren't as you left them. Also,
it /might/ indicate that other [unseen] things are changing
in the folder as well.

So, is this a known issue? If so, is there a fix/work-around?
