my test was really strange. I sent a message with background to my gmail account, and looked at it with gmail. Beginning of the text showed up in the preview, but there was no background and no text showing in the message at all. I have my gmail mail forwarded to my IMAP account, and it TB, the message looks as it should, both background and text colors. It also looks correct in the fastmail web mail client.

I sent a reply from gmail. The quoted message appeared blank in gmail. On receipt, it appears blank in the fastmail web client, but appears as sent in TB!.

I sent a reply from seamonkey mail client, where message appears as sent, and the quoted content does not appear in the message it sends.

I don't see how you can say don't use gmail as a reference. Many

I do not see any reason to use GMAIL as reference because number of users

Permit me to remind you that, as per background colors, they are stillnot usablebecause improperly terminated:

for example in

TEXT1

TheBat generates

span style=" background-color: #00;" TEXT1 span style=" background-color: ;"

instead of, for instance:

span style=" background-color: #00;" TEXT1 /span

which would terminate the yellow color.

This was submitted with problem number 7720.

Also note that old versions of TheBat (sorry I cannot check which versions) did not have this problem.
