Probably, there should have not been an option to disable the status bar.

I have created a bugtracker entry for that:
https://bt.ritlabs.com/view.php?id=1909

What do you think on this entry? Please comment by adding notes to the entry.

Thank you, we will fix it in 9.0.8.2 (beta). We have also experienced this

We will now release version 9.0.8.2 (beta) that should definitely fix the AV on

We did include by mistake all the skins available in the DevExpress library
into 32-bit version of The Bat!, and that's why the EXE file became too large.

Accidentally, I have noticed some quite interesting tags defined in my

Since I do not really use these tags, I cannot exclude I created them

Also interesting - CRASHWHILSTDOINGNOTHING has a green color defined in the

Please check Options/Preferences/Uther options/UI style/Use skins
Normally, this seems to need to be checked before the selection of skins
appears in the menu.

For some reason, it's there for me even with that option unchecked

As Martin has mentioned outside of this thread, there is now a setting to
use skins in options/other options/UI style.

Never the less, the skinning feature was active immediately when I first
started this new beta - after Martin mentioned it, I went to check that
checkbox to find it *unchecked*.
Skins are active in my TheBat! though.

Could there be some zombie setting in the persistent settings files of my
Thebat! that causes this de-facto-active-but-inactive-by-setting feature?

BTW. I find the Pumpkin skin quite impressive with its coffin checkboxes
and crossed-bones close window controls :)
Too bad the dark skins leave the message lists quite light-colored. I'd
imagibe a dark skin to make everything dark...

This version seems to have brought a whole new skinning feature I haven't
noticed before ("Options/SkinName"; and in fact, the old EXE doesn't show it).
That's, I suppose, the reason for the EXE size.

My TheBat! was sporting the Caramel skin by default, hence the brownish
colors.
Seven Classic seems to get me pretty close to wht I had before, still not
the same.

Is there possibly a skin corresponding to the old one - probably simply
taking the Windows UI settings?

Running here, no exceptions on start or exit.

What I have noticed though is that the EXE is almost twice as large and
this version seems to bring a ocmpletely different GUI theme (from
flattish windows-gray, it's not brownish with a lot of border shading).
Is that intentional or just a theme setting choosing a different default?
