I've had to rebuild my systems after a possible rootkitting, and in the
process upgraded to the latest version of TB!
All seems to be going well, except that there's an edit box showing near
the bottom of my message list that I cannot seem to get rid of. It appears

Yes to both. It won't drag; it's just an edit box with no border or title
bar.
