The only setting I see is under Options -> Preferences-> General, and refers just to any unread messages. No other options there.

Thanks Miguel, I had actually disabled mail ticker already for all accounts but the flying is not affected by this setting :(
Right. Only choice, if you want to disable flying bat for all accounts is Preferences/Options/General and deselect

As far as I can tell, the flying bat can not be set for specific accounts or
folders only.

Just created a new imap account which will be primarily handled by a different
office.
