I'm trying to set a reply template in a create automatic reply filter, with
these two instructions:
%TO=
%TO=[EMAIL PROTECTED]
This creates a reply with no To: field. AFAIK, TB is not supposed to do
that.
If my reply template contains just
%TO=[EMAIL PROTECTED]
it creates a
Create new MSG, not Create automatic reply.

IMHO, it is not TB bug. Reply is reply to original address and you
can't erase it from new header. You can you create new msg and place
into msg body original body transformed by regexp. It is only my
idea.

confirmed with create automatic reply filter. With a normal reply
template it work as expected.

You could try to drop both %To= macros and replace them with
%SetHeader(To,[EMAIL PROTECTED])
It works for me, even with my regexp in it:
