Re: What does this mean in my account log?

One of the things I've noticed in The Bat! is that accessing AOL mail gives a message of an invalid certificate, but I've always ignored the message. However, for the first time yesterday, I received a clearly virus-laden (via a link) email which claimed to be sent from my AOL account to two other unrelated email addresses that I own and one other email address of a correspondent of mine. I visited AOL mail online and found that the email had been sent from my account, so I changed my password at AOL and scanned both of my computers. I had no invaders, so I think it is either a hacking of my AOL account or something related to Facebook, since I used the AOL address there. I changed that and will be closely monitoring the mail account.Malwarebytes free software has solved any invader-related issues I've had from time to time over the years, and I download it upon getting a new computer so that I am prepared. I highly recommend it, and hope it is that simple to solve your issue. Thanks for the tip. I have not used AOL for more than 15 years. However, I will download and install Malwarebytes as you recommend. Leonard -- Leonard S. I don't recall when it was introduced, but my daughter is still using v4.2.44.2 and the three modes are there. I use 4.0.38, which has only the two modes. I have never seen web-like mode, and before this thread never heard of it. If you don't see the 'Web-Like' option is probably because that is the option you are using. In this case, the only options you will see are 'Simple' and 'Advanced'. If you select 'Simple', the options you will see are 'Web-Like' and 'Advanced', and if you select 'Advanced' you will see 'Web-Like' and 'Simple' as options (alternatives). I use Simple and the buttons on the right are Start, Stop, Help, Close, Locate Original, Virtual Folder, Advanced. If I click Advanced that button changes to Simple, the top part of the interface where you enter search criteria changes, and the Advanced tab disappears. -- Best regards MFPAmailto:2014-667rhzu3dc-lists-gro...@riseup.net It's better to feed one cat than many mice Using The Bat! v4.0.38 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
