In account properties » mail management uncheck Receive headers only
when message size is greater than It might also be useful to
leave messages on server for a few days, as a short time backup.

Look under Account / Properties / Mail management / Receive message

iso-2022 Japanese

2004-04-24 Thread Robert Kidd
I installed the iconv .dll file in the program directory but there were
a couple of problems I am hoping someone has info that will help me fix
them or work around them.

First of all, to view a message in Japanese I have to choose Character
set Chinese But the subject is still mojibake.

Second, when I type Japanese the subject is fine but the message body
is mojibake until I send it. The receiver can read it fine.

I am using Win2k English with Japanese set as the default language
which is fine for displaying and writing Japanese in other programs
that are Japanese capable.

Am I expecting too much of The Bat! Any ideas about how to fix this?

Ritlabs Priorities? / Purge of address book / resize of TheBat.ABD file

2004-04-24 Thread Greg Strong
Hello Users,

TB still does NOT resize the TheBat.ABD after deleting addresses.
This bug has been reported in
https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=0002333 and
believe it was first discussed in TBBETA last summer.

To test my AB is presently 442 KB. I deleted all addresses in the AB.
then shut down TB and re-opened TB. The size was still 442 KB.

Maybe not a high priority bug, but thought I'd mention it. Given IMAP
issues which I feel are more important even though I'm not a heavy IMAP
user (i.e. just tried on MyRealBox), IMHO Ritlabs needs to prioritize
and fix major bugs with PRESENT feature set.

Take care!

no, it makes sense NOW, but try this. With the ticker window in focus (

Only a closedown and restart clears it.

I found that re-enabling the configuration bar clears the problem

Not so confusing. That www.whatever.com is shown as a (clickable)
hyperlink in the text viewer is just because the viewer makes it a link
(since there is no other way of embedding hyperlinks in plaintext).
If it's in HTML, the HTML-viewer doesn't make it a hyperlink, since it
would expect a corresponding a href tag. There is none, thus
http://www.google.com is just plain text in a HTML viewer. a
href=http://www.google.com;Ggle/a should show up as a link in
the right context, though.
