Just checked and it is still offered.
They suggest you use SSL, ports 995(POP) and 465(SMTP) but that
does not work here - regular and ports 25 and 110 works.

I don't understand how something "the other end" on your Gmail
settings would affect where TB! puts your outgoing mail.
