Re: Can I make folder creation default to NOT show unread messages in Mail Ticker?
Hello John, There's something that has been a minor, nagging irritation for me for some time now. Is there any way at all to make a newly created folder default to not show its unread messages in the mail ticker? I use the mail ticker very sparingly to let me know when an email arrives that I really want to know about as soon as possible. I create common folders with a filter to receive filtered messages by the person, and it is annoying to have to manually uncheck the 'Show unread messages in Mail Ticker ... ' box. Any help? That is something many of us has missed since we started using TB years ago. But no, there is no way you can set up your own 'default settings' for newly created folders. A bit unbelievable, but true. -- Best regards, Miguel A. Hello MAU, This is what you said on Tue, 21 Apr 2009 14:53:14 +0200 your time: That is something many of us has missed since we started using TB years ago. But no, there is no way you can set up your own 'default settings' for newly created folders. A bit unbelievable, but true. Yes, and a what continuing annoyance it is too! There's another thing, which I may or may not have remembered correctly, but didn't the early TB! versions have an entry for New Message in the Right-Click context menu for folders? I seem to remember that, but maybe I'm mistaken and confusing it with something else. Regardless, that's something I'd like to see added under the 'New' context menu sub-menu...because out of habit I seem to look there first to create a new message when a folder is highlighted. -- Simon (Privateofcourse) #35703. Define a custom template for inbox folder...
Hi, I would like to define a default template for every folders of a mail account *except* for the inbox... I have no problem to set a different template for other folders, but not in the properties of the inbox folder... is there something i miss or is it not possible ? I would prefer to avoid defining a custom template for every folder except inbox, i have 50+ folders needing to use the same template *except* inbox (it's a mail account receiving mails from mailing lists, every mail coming from a known list is moved to a folder for this list, in the ionbox remain spam :( and mails that some users send me directly... i prefer when i reply those direct mails to use a different reply-to address to separate direct mail from ML). Thanks in advance -- Best regards... _ (_' L'informatique est ma passion, vous la simplifier, mon métier ! ,_)téphane Bouvard [antarex AT freenet DOT be] http://www.antarex.be Current version is 4.1.11 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

4/21/2009 P There's another thing, which I may or may not have remembered correctly, but P didn't the early TB! versions have an entry for New Message in the P Right-Click context menu for folders? I seem to remember that, but maybe I'm P mistaken and confusing it with something else. Regardless, that's something P I'd like to see added under the 'New' context menu sub-menu...because out of P habit I seem to look there first to create a new message when a folder is P highlighted. I think you are right. I have more than once right clicked on a folder for a new message, kind of reflexively, and been surprised to find no message option there. Now you have to select the folder and click on the feather. I have learned (mostly) to do it that way. -- Lynn :Hawthorne: :usflag: :canadaflag: theli...@comcast.net * * *Aun Aprendo I'd rather be WARP'ed* * * Team OS/2 TBv.4.1.11 NT5 SP4 Current version is 4.1.11 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
