I can only speak for myself, of course. I have had Gmail from almost its beginning - perhaps five years ago or so (a guess on my part). I used POP 3 through July of 2008 and have used Gmail's IMAP option since then. Gmail's IMAP has been slowly and steadily improving over the years for me, and I am presently well satisfied with it. Thunderbird may be the better (by a small margin) for Gmail's IMAP (I have been using it also), but TB is a better program, IMHO. -- Take Care, and Happy New Year, Bob -- Using The Bat! 4.2.16 Christmas Edition Windows 7 6.1 build 7600 Current version is 4.2.12.4 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I even managed to run TB! on a WinXP virtual machine, running in Linux, pointing back to a Windows partition. To do this, under preferences, select the System option on the left and at the top you should see Mail Directory. Hi, I'm having the opportunity to try out Windows 7 Ultimate, but want to install it to another partition and run a dual boot system for the time being. The partitioning and Win7 install is done.
