Unfortunately not. I was stuck with the default off-white (very pale grey) background with dark writing until they introduced the "themes".

I have not experienced the freezes you reported. "Automatic" and "Choco Dark" seem to be the same theme. They both work for me, and so does "Windows 10 Dark". So long as I don't try to compose a reply in HTML.

FWIW, your reply arrived as black script on black background over here. I am using "Classic" theme.

OAUTH Grayed Out

2020-11-21 Thread David Shepherd
Title: OAUTH Grayed Out

Hello TBUDL,

I decided to finally upgrade to ver.9 today. So far, I like it a lot.

However, my Yahoo account stopped being able to login. I believe it is because Yahoo has instituted a strict OAUTH policy. So, I went to 'Account -> Properties -> Transport -> Receive mail -> Authentication ' to change the authentication method from 'Regular' to 'OAUTH using Web Browser', but OAUTH is grayed out and not selectable.  I then switched to my Yandex account properties and OAUTH is also grayed out as well. In fact all the accounts I have in The Bat! have OAUTH grayed out. Is there something I must do to enable OAUTH?

So far I have restarted The Bat! and rebooted the system, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thank you,
David

I can't use the Choco Dark, as many people aren't able to read my mails, then.
I couldn't read yours in HTML (Black font on dark background), but switching to
Text made the words visible.
I'll have to live with the white menu bars until the themes get fixed.

Probably not what you are looking for but if you are suffering from bright
screen have tried f.lux
https://justgetflux.com/
You can set the colour temperature of your screen and varies through the day.
Just thought

Do you know of a way to also give a darker background to the menu bars?

If somebody wants a dark background for the folder list because they find a
light background too glaring for their eyes, my guess is the same applies to
the message list. I have used colour groups to give a dark background to these
lists for many years, although I do have specific colour groups that I use just
in the folder list.
