Hello ken,
Anyone else ever experience anything like this?
Yesterday I moved manually (ctrl-v) a message to a certain person from
the sent folder to a folder that is only for messages from and to that
person. It disappeared. Like you I can nowhere find it. And in the
folders list is indicated
Hello Allie,
If you wish to find a message you replied to and you have found the
reply, just select the reply and hit CTRL-Backspace. TB! will search
for the original message until it's found.
Great! That solved also my problem (in case you read my reply to Ken).
- I just do not understand

Hello Thomas,
I figure from the lists that TB's back-up function now works fine.
I can confirm.
However, I have never done a Restore yet.
LOL I tried it from last Monday until Wednesday. There was _never
anything_ restored; not even any error messages. Only that I could
never close the -
Hello Adam,
Run REGEDIT on first machine. Export the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!
Since you have the same Windows OSs on each machine, that should be
simple. Make sure your second machine can access that exported file.
Without openning TB, on the second
Hello Avram,
No, what I would like to do is to be able to insure that all mail
gets downloaded on to one drive and is read on that drive. I
didn't ask the question, but I would also like to insure that any
mail that is composed and sent from the laptop is also stored on the
main (desktop)
Hello
If the mail folder is not in the default location, you'llhave to
make the necessary changes in
HKey_Current_User/Software/RIT/The Bat!/Users Depot
Only when you're finished do you start TB! on the new system. When
Thanks alot! it worked fine. I wish I would have dared sooner to do
press ok it tries to
restore again, when I press cancel nothing happens. It is just a
slope.
I need my mail. Please help!
BTW: can somebody tell me what happened to the German beginner list?

Hello Allie,
Thanks.
If not, then you'll
have to manually move the installation across and then upgrade it.
I was able to move installations on DOS level; but in Windows? - I
don't know what to move. I do not want to mess up my new virginal
systems :-) - or is it enough to move the content
Hello Allie,
Good luck and don't hesitate to ask for clarifying information.
Thank you very much.
I found in my original 1.53 installation reminders of deleted
accounts. I cannot imagin that they caused the trouble when restoring.
But I will delete them and check if it works before I go to
Hello Carren,
The trouble with that is though that I would just about need to have
my container mounted all the time so that TB! could put downloaded
mail into the right places wouldn't I?
That is, what I do. - I have BestCrypt installed that generates virual
disks to store all sensitive

Hello Gerd,
I can't confirm that. I use the ckt version for quite a long time and

Hello,
Yes, it's the right way. The problem is that the default string may
contain (double quote, 22H) characters.
It does not help in my case. I reduced the default string from the
recipient (in a mailing list message) to optacon (the part of the
e-mail address before the @) and put the place
Hello,
I read the help text to the filter assistent but I cannot figure out
why all my filters but one do not work. It is hard to specify my
problem more exactly as I cannot imagin where it is. The charakter
string is correct, the filter is activ, locations are mostly set to
all the header and
Hello Peter,
Well, I create filters i.e. by pressing strg-shift-f in the message
editor, modify the folder entry to where I want to place the message
and press ok. I guess I do everything according to the help text. Is
there a way to catch error messages about non-working filters?
