Missing folders
Hi Batters!, I have been trying to upgrade my computer system, and I have found that carrying on the Bat is rather complicated, at least for me. I followed the procedure described in the FAQ page, but probably did some mistake. First I upgraded from win98 to win2k in a 2G disk, reformatting the HD. I succeeded. But then I bought a new computer with a 20G disk, and the installation in this machine has not been fully successful. I have 3 accounts. The 2 secondary accounts whose mail files are located in subdirectories with more than 700 messages have been transferred OK. This includes the present account with the Bat folder. But I have been unable to transfer correctly the main account. The new install has only the 5 basic folders( In, out, in known, sent and trash), but the other created folders with their messages have disappeared. Is there a simple method to recover the folders and messages in this folder, or should I better start it all over. Searching former postings I realize that it may be tricky. Any advise would be appreciated. -- Greetings, Joan Josep Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

The rule is "@ is anywhere". This is the only filter in the Outgoing mail. I write a new message, a reply for instance, and store with the second icon from left. But messages remain in the working account and are not moved to the new account. What is wrong here? Any help?. Nice formatting
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hi batters!, I see that most messages in this list are neatly formatted, but mine do not. Why do my messages look so awful? I have checked all the options in the "options, editor preferences, general, text" block. Word wrap is set at 70, and PGP word wrap at 68. Any help? After a hole morning of muddling things, and thanks to Mark's advice in another thread -Using PGP for encryption- (* There is a really good discussion list for PGP beginners which is called PGP-Basics. [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a quick link for subscribing to that list. *), I learned the difference between the Bat and PGPtray, and I am walking again. SO NO NEED OF RESPONSE BY NOW. I am rushing to read the remaining 4000 messages in PGP-basics. -- Best regards, Joan Josepmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- __ Archives : <http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com> Moderators : <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> TBTech List: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
PGP encryption
Hi batters!, I am a newbie trying to climb the steep learning curve of TB. Trying tp follow the TB help instructions and this NG, I installed version 7 of PGP, uninstalled it, installed version 6.5.8, created a key ring and even succeded in sending myself, to a second e-mail account, a locked message, and then unlocking the received mail. Now, when I try to go ahead and import a key following the directions in another TB thread, TB tells me that I have to create a key first. I cannot even lock a new message as I did before. After all this experimenting, I finished with a key ring in a directory Network Associates\PGP\PGP Keyrings. This contains the files pubring.pkr, secring.skr, and four backups (1 to 4) of each file. According to PGPKeys, the key pair expires next year. How can I make TB recognize these keypair? Should I uninstall and start everything over? Any exit from this labirynth? I lifesaver from the experts would be greatly appreciated. -- Greetings, Joan Josep mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- __ Archives : <http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com> Moderators : <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> TBTech List: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
