Re: Filter issue
Hiya T I set up a filter to move incoming emails to a special account if T sender contains xx and recipient contains y. T This works well if the recipient is only y. I cannot figure out how T to set the rule so that it works even if the T email was sent to y, z, T a, b and c. Assuming I have I understood you correctly: it works here too, My test filter reads: Sender contains fred AND Recipient contains f...@tiscali.co.uk [ the recipient field contained at least 15 addresses ] Is that what you meant ? If not can you post your non working filter. I had never thought about this before but recipient seems to check both the CC: and To: values. -- Graham *** 7.5: Message scanned prior to sending - no viruses found *** Current version is 4.2.10.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re[3]: AVG notification of virus check
Hi re the certification messages . I seem to remember a thread on this topic years ago. From memory - the certification text that is passed by the plug-in is simply ignored by TB. Again, from memory, this was because the developers took the view that just because AVG says there is no virus doesn't necessarily mean there isn't one. I seem to recall users asked for this behaviour to be a preference setting but the developers refused on principle. When I tested, since you do get a notification if AVG actually finds a virus on an outgoing mail and prevents you from sending it: as a workaround for outgoing messages only why not simply add the certification text to your message template ? Re: Address book: 2 e-mail addresses
Hi Peter Address book: 2 e-mail addresses My way of doing this is to set up multiple entries for the person but with different nicknames. My nickname standard is name + underscore + h or o [ or whatever suffix makes sense ] so: Fred_h = fred at home Fred_o = fred in the office Fred_y = his yahoo account Fred_g = his gmail a/c Hope this helps: works for me :D -- Graham Current version is 3.95.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
help with creating toolbars please
Hi all, I have been using the bat for years but have just got started trying to configure it. I am having trouble with containers on the toolbars I have created.. I click the create new container item icon and it added to the layout panel. What I can't work out is how to populate it. For example I want view modes to show as a drop drown and not as separate buttons. Can anyone point me to some documentation or explain how to do this please. Also, is it possible to have a toolbar button that toggles the view of another toolbar ? many thanks -- Graham Using The Bat! v3.80.06 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Current version is 3.80.06 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Re: Server Timeouts
Hiya I have the same problem since installing 3.5. I wasn't sure if it were only me it is happening to as loading 3.5 also coincided with my ISP doing some maintenance to the email system. I seem to recall this happened befor in a previous version - but can't remember how it got fixed. Anyone remember this ? Graham JH Hello TBUDL, JH I often have a problem where the connection window stays open and JH seems to be doing nothing. When I abort all tasks and connect again it JH usually goes through without a problem. This is OK when I am watching JH for emails, but when the PC is unattended it is a real pain, since no JH emails will be picked up and processed while I am away. JH The Server Timeout setting looks as if it should kill off a server if JH it has hung for x seconds, but this never seems to happen. Is there JH a method of making this work or is it intended for some other JH function? JH I have had to write a utility to kill TheBat every so often and JH restart it so this does not happen, but I feel there should be an JH easier way.
