 Correct. That's what I said.

Sorry I misunderstood you. My use of entries included items in the
input history, yours apparently didn't.
Also, the inclusion of all CAs and favourites, regardless of
whether they match what I've typed, mystifies me. Especially CAs
as I'm unlikely to often send messages to them.

eycu If you typed nothing first, it cycles through all entries

 Sure.

But not from input history.

eycu The ordinary autocomplete picks entries only from the input

Even if you choose History+All Address Books?

Correct.

eycu The Autocomplete settings in Options Preferences System will
eycu turn on or off the Autocomplete from input list but will not
eycu activate Autocomplete from the Address Books

Are you seeing five different options? Any combination of histroy and
 address books is possible.

As long as I select one of the options that includes history,
then it will autocomplete from history. Whichever of the five
options I select, it will not autocomplete from address books.

The email address is up to you (if it works beyond expiry date), what
I am referring to is a real name in front of it. Or at least a name

Unless I'm ignorant to foreign-language names, that is. No big deal,

No, mine include input history as well, but still I can crtl+
through address book entries. I think we are just experiencing
different behaviours. Or it is me who misunderstands you.

It's different here. Maybe someone else can comment.

Oh well. They say YMMV ;-)

   crtl+ does that.

I had not discovered that one.

Really? I have autocomplete set up to ONLY use the address books, and it
works successfully.

I used to have a problem (although I think it was in v1.6x) that some of
the address book entries appeared to be invisible to the autocomplete
feature, and that I had to use CTRL+- to cycle backwards to those, but
that no longer occurs.

Don't know what I may be doing wrong but definitely no good here.

No experience of that but you have just taught me about crtl-.

I guess v3 is different to v2.

My experience using v2 is that autocomplete from the address books
does not work at all but autocomplete from input history works
very well, is case insensitive and even changes the case of what
you have typed this time to match previous usage, so you type a
and it could suggest Andy.

A feature I would like to see would be pressing a key to cycle
through all the entries that fit what you have typed...
