MB That way, if Stefan hasn't had time to get back to the problem, at

Done. I hope I did it correctly.

Hello Mary,

I just read your response to my note 0017086 and I realized (too late)
that I had not paid enough attention to the text in your note 0016886.
Had I been able to summon the requisite number of functioning brain
cells I would have seen that your comments referred to your screen
font being set to 96dpi when you *WERE* able to extend the dialog box
enough to cause the number boxes to become visible.

My apologies for being so obtuse.

I just accidently discovered that when I go to view/change folder
properties, the dialog box is cut off on the right side. It's cut off
at the point where only the left edge of the check boxes shows. The
contents of the check boxes cannot be seen. When I expand the dialog
box by dragging the right edge, the partial check boxes simply travel
along with the edge of the dialog box, still never revealing their
 contents.

MB Change to 96 dpi or less, in
MB Windows/Desktop/Properties/Settings/Advanced. You should then find the
MB check boxes fully visible.

Thanks Mary. Un-fortunately, while I could probably tolerate the
smaller font (for a while), my wife would never stand for it. However,
by doing as you suggested I was able to change the number of days
messages are to be kept in my trash folder which is how I discovered
this in the first place. After making the change I went back to the
larger font.

Is there any automatic notification (by email message) of when this
bug gets fixed or do I just have to watch general notifications more
closely?

C If you watch the bug (login to Mantis, open the bug page, click
C monitor), then you will get periodic e-mail messages when the status
C has changed.

Mantis?

KC Thanks SyP, that did the trick.
My pleasure :)

KC Is there a menu toggle for this Expert mode anywhere? I didn't see
KC anything regarding this while scanning the help file either.

If there were, you needn't be an expert to use it, and it wouldn't be
called "Expert" mode :)

KC Another one of The Bats! hidden mysteries I suppose. 8^)
Oh yes. And don't really know what it's good for, either.
