Receiving McCaffee Virus Scan Warning about:
Exploit-MIME.gen.exe
whenever TB! checks for new mail.
The troublesome files are the TEMP files (eg bat96A.tmp) in the Temp
folder in Local Settings.
How do I avoid these messages, and what are these temp files

I had the same thing happen recently, and it turned out to be
explorer.exe, a virus thingie that resides in the Windows Fonts
directory. You can read about it in the various online virus
files. AVG detected and healed two virus thingies that apparently
sprang from explorer.exe and were in my Win32

Thanks for the info. I've found the message on my server and deleted
it.
Won't excluding the bat*.temp files within McAffee cause an infection
if I do receive dodgy mail?
