I TRIED the other way, ie putting voyager data back into the bat and all I
say is that while my system didn't cooperate, it isn't simple
so don't anything you cannot recover from...tracer

Don't bother to try. I don't even think it was intended to work that
as an update: I realise that the message base in Voyager is encrypted
by default. Since I upgraded my existing Home Version to Pro on my
main pc, my current database is not encrypted.
Could that be the reason for the failure and is there a way around it.

I am trying to follow the instructions in the help file for
synchronising my primary bat with a new voyager bat on my usb.
I installed voyager and tested it with a newly set up account and
everything works as it should.
I would like to tranfer my whole existing bat to voyager to
