I know that the BayesIT plug-in works with TB!, but since I use something else (K9 proxy), I'm not familiar with how BayesIT works. With K9, there's a choice of having K9 put [Spam] in the subject line of suspected email, or X-Text-Classification: spam added to the headers. These can be used as filtering strings...so that messages classified as spam can be placed in a spam folder (I use a single common folder for spam from all my accounts). Perhaps someday when I feel like messing around, I'll try the BayesIT plug-in, but for now, I'm very happy with K9. -- Melissa PGP public keys: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]Body=Please%20send%20keys TB! v2.11.02 on Windows XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 pgpBAwkKrm1vM.pgp Description: PGP signature Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Nick, Thursday, June 24, 2004, 11:40:06 PM, you wrote: NO Hi All (again), NO Still working out some issues with TB! v2. Does v2 come with an NO anti-spam plug-in by default? Specifically one that would add to the NO subject line intercepted as spam any message it found as suspicious? NO Thank you for any input, suggestions or solutions. The Bat! v2 comes with the latest version of BayesIt in the The Bat!\BayesIt folder. When BayesIt is activated it will check incoming mails and if one of these mails is detected as SPAM it will move it to the Junk Mail folder. (this is configurable though). Check Options/Preferences/Protection/Anti SPAM for more :) You will need to train BayesIT with both SPAM and NON-SPAM (HAM) to learn it what is spam and not. Just select all your current SPAM and Mark as Junk, and select all your other mails and select Mark as not Junk (from the specials menu). When you get a SPAM that was not caught by the filter, just mark it as junk, and if you find a non-spam in the Junk Mail folder just Mark as not Junk. For me BayesIt! works 98% right now, very nice. I also got AVG that removes 100% of all viruses. -- /Fredrik The Bat! 2.11.02 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 1 Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Specifically one that would add to Nick the subject line intercepted as spam any message it found as Nick suspicious? I believe it came with BayesIT. Not 100% on that. As for adding to the subject line, no. The plugin API isn't capable of preprocessing messages yet. That sounds a bit confusing. I mean preprocessing in terms of being able to do something with the message other than moving it. -- :Leif_Gregory: (TB list moderator and fellow end user).
