If you want to be sure then better wait three months and monitor this
group.

We haven't been hit (yet) with the flood of issues that were reported
after 3.5.0 (?) was released and it's running fine for me. Whoops,
just noticed it's lost my user dictionary in the u/g, does it every
time :-(

There are always issues and annoyances. It's just whether or not those
issues or annoyances affect you. Only one way to find out. :)

Well, it has fixed my Access Violation problem that was preventing me
from creating any mail while logged on as a group. But it still has the
other issue of not remembering all group members. Still, what should I
expect given it has been a feature since 1.62 or thereabouts?

My answer would simple: dont upgrade, yet.

How about the memory consumption problem you noted in an earlier
subrelease? Does that appear to be fixed?

Not really. TB! still uses a lot of memory to open attachments. However,
minimizing frees up the memory. However, if you keep TB! always in the
systray, then the memory will not be freed on minimizing.

So, there's a way to avoid the memory consumption, but it's not entirely
gone.

Note, that some seem not to see the problem.

Hello Robin!

It appears to be fixed here. CPU is fluctuating between 0 and 22 per
cent on the Task Manager. When I launch and begin to use TB!, the Page
File number changes from 265 MB to 278 MB. (I'm running 61 processes
because I use F-Secure as my AV program, and it utilizes a lot of
processes. Probably many people run much leaner than I do.)

Basic POP3 things (send, receive, filter, and manage mail) are working
for me.

You could save your current version in a back-up, and try this one
out.

If you use keyboard shortcuts, they won't carry over and you will have
to redefine them using the new View/Toolbars/Customise/shortcuts
system.

There are some minor things that I don't like--1) it still won't quote
(as has been true since v. 3.0.1.33) Smiley ASCII text when Smiley
imaging is enabled in RTV, but this happens only randomly; 2) there is an
issue or two with scrollbars; 3) I had to acquire an icon skin set that
MAU made, in order to be comfortable with the new icons. And so on.

Small things like that.

We would all be interested in your opinion of v. 3.5.25, if you should
indeed decide to try it out.

It's a keeper for me. But then, I have a fairly high tolerance level
for small inconveniences, and my basic requirements in an e-mail
program are few and well met in the current version of TB!
