Yes, the tests run perfectly (including the JavaDefineClass test). The problem seems to be that some classes load fine, and others do not, even when the classes under question don't reference any other clas
Do the TclBlend and Jacl test suites run fine?

defineclass is known to be broken with JDK 1.2.x on Solaris only,
the bug in question does not occur with JDK 1.1.x on any platform
or on JDK 1.2.x on any platform other than Solaris.
