Great to hear that you successfully generated Kannada traineddata using trestrain.sh Did you test to see whether there is difference/improvement in recognition compared to the kan traineddata provided by Google? The terminal extract also indicated a 'flat shape table' . - sent from my phone.

I have already installed cygwin (as standalone) in Vista OS. Since i could not succeeded to run Tesstrain.sh in ubuntu 15.10 - but failed inspite of number of attempts made by me. I shall be ever thankful to you if you kindly guide me how to run tesstrain.sh --lat (latin) language? With warmest

Sorry, small mistake it appears that in the said simon's package there is no tesstrain.sh. As such it would be nice to send the step by step procedure followed for lang Latin(lat) using *tesstrain.sh* in linux like *ubuntu 15.10* etc. instead of in cygwin. sorry for confusion caused to you for
