[Test Day] Gnome 3.28 Test Day on Monday
Hola! A gentle reminder to all, Monday 2018-03-26 will be Fedora 28 Gnome 3.28 Test Day! As part of this planned Change for Fedora 28[0], So this is an important Test Day! As we approach the Beta, we try to make sure that all the gnome features are performing as they should. We need to ensure it's working well enough and catch any remaining issues. It's also pretty easy to join in: all you'll need is Test Day image (which you can grab from the wiki page). As always, the event will be in #fedora-test-day on Freenode IRC. Self Introduction
Hello Fedora testers, I am Rayan currently persuading my undergrad in Computer Science. I'm a beginner in Open Source. I have experience with Linux and im new to Fedorabut not so new. I've been impressed with it and I would like to contribute with the project. I have experiences in Python, C, C++ and Java. I thought Fedora would be a good place to contribute. I hope after approval to be a productive member of the team and looking forward to working with each of you. Java Version Issue
Hi, I spotted that installing java-9-openjdk forces installation of java-1.8.0- openjdk-headless – which a priori seems as though there is a broken dependency somewhere. On asking: rpm -q --whatrequires java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless the answer was nothing. I am not sure how to progress this to some useful feedback. Is java-10-openjdk being prepared? -- Russel. == Dr Russel Winder t: +44 20 7585 2200 41 Buckmaster Roadm: +44 7770 465 077 London SW11 1EN, UK w: www.russel.org.uk signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part ___ test mailing list -- test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to test-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org

Re: f28 stale debuginfo repo?
It's apparently still a problem. Clean install of Fedora 28 using netinstall which gets me Firefox 59 but when I explicitly install the requested debuginfos I end up with Firefox 58 ones. Missing separate debuginfos, use: dnf debuginfo-install firefox-59.0.1-1.fc28.x86_64 (gdb) quit [root@localhost ~]# dnf debuginfo-install firefox-59.0.1-1.fc28.x86_64 enabling updates-testing-debuginfo repository enabling updates-debuginfo repository enabling fedora-debuginfo repository Fedora 28 - x86_64 - Test Updates Debug 2.0 kB/s | 257 B 00:00 Fedora 28 - x86_64 - Updates - Debug 2.0 kB/s | 257 B 00:00 Fedora 28 - x86_64 - Debug 1.2 MB/s | 28 MB 00:22 Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:00 ago on Sat 24 Mar 2018 02:09:05 AM MDT.
