When you said 'AE', I think you meant 'Ae'. I haven't experimented with
that in combination with changes in the number of staves. But it might very
well serve to equalize the vertical white space even if there is a change in
number of staves per system
This are tricks i use for having a better white space between the systems
- use the pmx commands for the page hight en width:
'w280m h205m'
\voffset=-08mm\hoffset=-5mm\
- change interstaff
\\\interstaff{14}\
- change the margins
\\\def\atnextline{\stafftopmarg4\Interligne}\

Unfortunately it does not solved my problems.
The new free space has left blank. While playing with the A option I could
affect, where I got the white paper. But the intention was to remove an
