Follow-up Comment #3, bug #252 (project tex4ht):
Yes, the problems become only visible with biblatex 3.0/biber 2.1 or later
which are on CTAN and part of TL15 pretest.

Hi all,
I've tried to compile tex4ht.c. I was able to run the compilation
without errors, but the resulting executable doesn't work correctly.
My compilation command is:
$ gcc -DHAVE_DIRENT_H -DKPATHSEA -lkpathsea tex4ht.c -o tex4ht
when I try to process a dvi file with resulting executable, I
I put it to some testing directory. But it doesn't seem to work even
after moving to the TL tree; the output is same.
But I've figured out how to specify the directory with htf files:
gcc -DHAVE_DIRENT_H -DKPATHSEA -lkpathsea
-DHTFDIR='/usr/local/texlive/2014/texmf-dist/tex4ht/ht-fonts/!'
$ gcc -DHAVE_DIRENT_H -DKPATHSEA -lkpathsea tex4ht.c -o tex4ht
did you put the binary into place in the tl tree?
trying to use it from some separate location will surely require lots
more configuration (that i don't have any recipes for ...).
that's my first thought.

I suspect we haven't made a patch. The problem is also related to known
problem with .htf files, which often contains wrong characters. Correct .htf
files could be
