[tex4ht] [bug #475] Error with polyglossia when I include tex4ht to compile an e-book

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #475 (project tex4ht):

Hello Diwakar,

I don't get any error with your file. Do you use up-to date TeX Live? I've
fixed some Polyglossia issues in May (it was exactly the error you linked to
in your question).

You don't need to require tex4ht and tex4ebook packages in your document, they
are loaded automatically by TeX4ebook command. You would need to use tex4ebook
package only if you wanted to use the \coverimage command in your document.
You can put all tex4ht configurations to a configuration file and pass it to
TeX4ebook using the -c option. For example, the cover image can be declared
using \CoverMetadata{imagename.png} in the .cfg file.

The configuration file may look like this (change the values according to your
needs):

\Preamble{xhtml}
\Configure{DocumentLanguage}{KN}
\CoverMetadata{mycover.png}
\Configure{UniqueIdentifier}{https://your.website.url}
\begin{document}
\EndPreamble

Best regards,
Michal

Hi, the book release date has been decided, this is the only issue delaying
the process. I request you to fix the issue at the earliest. Thank you.

Details:

Hello,
I am trying to use tex4ebook for Kannada book. With tex4ht included, I am
getting

"Package polyglossia Error: The current latin font does not contain the
"Kannmand. \selectlanguage *{kannada}"

error and the file is not compiling. I want to use \Configure command to
include a cover image for the ebook.

Further, when tex4ht package is not included and only with tex4ebbok, with the
following command "tex4ebook -x kannada.tex" I am able to compile the ebook.
However, I get a similar error for parts which contain table environment.

I had earlier posted an issue with polyglossia
(https://github.com/reutenauer/polyglossia/issues/419), however, I was told to
raise the issue here.

I have attached the latex file and font for your reference. I request you to
fix the issue at the earliest.

Thank you.
