This reminds me of the Sidney Sheldon novel from the 70's called The Other Side
of Midnight. A women named Catherine was left for dead without a light source
in a sea cave. It scared the hell out of me & I never forgot it! Check out
this book if you love a great drama/mystery/romance novel.
It's quite interesting since the story seems to have been initially written as
a piece of fiction.

Dwight,
Sounds like the plot of a Spielberg movie.

Good idea, Louise. David: Sell the turkey with a "new" engine and get the Best
Price you can before something else goes, like the tranny. Then buy some
replacement
It's either that or drive it (and your debt) into the ground.
BUT get a GOOD mechanic to check a replacement out before you
You could buy a new or newer vehicle for that.

Bill,
I agree. With all that Park Service has to pay for and for all they do for our
parks and the fact that the Orange Menace's Congress seems to be cutting back
the budgets for all the land management agencies, we shouldn't resent paying
more considering what we get for our money. I've
I guess I am happy or at least relieved today.
The link below is a selfie with my new engine. The mechanic fired it up
and let me listen to it.

We went in March of last year, and rented cold weather gear for it. We
want to go back and spend a week in that park.

Yes, the narrows was crowed with people at its opening. I went farther and
farther until there was just a trickle of people. I decided to go until there
wasn't anyone else. Eventually it got real narrow and one young couple came the
other way. I asked them if anyone was ahead. They said no, no
Buy online at https://store.usgs.gov/pass/index.html for $20; or download the
pdf form. You’ll need to have a picture or pdf of something that proves your
age (e.g. driver’s license) ready to upload.

Some parks are $15 for a vehicle, Rocky Mountain National Park comes to
mind, and I think Lake Powell was the same. Taking 3 others into Carlsbad
Caverns saves you quite a bit as well.
Zion is a great park, Bill, did you go up the narrows?

I got one in Zion National Park last year. It cost me $10 for a lifetime pass.
It includes everyone in the vehicle with me. I told the NPS guy it was the best
deal in the country and an incentive to live a long time.

Go down to Senior Pass. Even at $80, it's still a bargain, but the $10
rate is good until Aug 28th, 2017. Anyone $62 or older should grab up the
$10 lifetime pass before then.
I've been buying the $80 pass for several years now,
I am sure you all have heard that if you qualify for a Senior Pass with
NPS, and
do not have one that you should order one ASAP as the fee will increase in
six weeks.
I do not have the link in front of me.
