[Texascavers] Fwd: More Details on UTG Meeting

2018-05-15 Thread Denise P
I'm trying to convince folks to still go to Sao Paulo before the meeting, not
Crown & Anchor, and I may or may not be successful.

Cheers,
Denise

Greetings Cavers,

Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting this Wednesday at about 7:45pm.
Our presenter this week will be Rachel Ginger Reddig entertaining us with
slides and videos from some recent trips to 0-9 Well Cave. If you haven't
visited that one yet, get vertical and try to join the next trip out there!

The presentation portion of the grotto meeting is sometimes live streamed via
Periscope https://www.periscope.tv/utgrotto at approximately 8:30pm CST (the
actual time will be announced via Twitter @UTGrotto).

[Texascavers] Book trivia

2018-05-15 Thread David
I know quite a few of you are bookworms and might even be able to guess
what this is about

The words below were allegedly written by someone

- - - - - - - - -

All things belonging to the earth will never change

the leaf, the blade, the flower, the wind that cries and sleeps and wakes
again

the trees whose stiff arms clash and tremble in the dark

and the dust of lovers long since buried in the earth

all things proceeding from the earth to seasons

all things that lapse and change and come again upon the earth

these things will always be the same

for they come up from the earth that never changes

they go back into the earth that lasts forever.

Only the earth endures, but it endures forever.
