I am sorry to report that James Estes has died. He was a prominent figure in
early Texas caving and a founder of the Abilene Grotto. What follows is his

That may well be, but nowhere in the craigslist ad does it say that
this IS a Cave formation and came from a cave.
"We" do not know if it is a cave formation. Sure it looks like it
could be, but I have seen just this sort of "rock" in rivers, dry
stream beds, even empty pastures, and also
I am looking for volunteers for this coming weekend (9-24 and 25-2016)
to help clear the road at the Amazing Maze Cave.
I plan to arrive around noon or so on Saturday and we can work on the
road until dark or until we are exhausted. We are camping Saturday night
and will finish up on Sunday.
